Return of the Revolutionaries

Wayne Peterson, Sai Baba and Maitreya

Wayne PetersonWayne Peterson is a recently retired career US Diplomat who served the United States for 32 years. For the last 17 years of his career, Mr. Peterson directed the Fulbright Scholarship Program, based in Washington, DC, but which is administered though US embassies throughout the world. As part of his work at Fulbright, Mr. Peterson worked directly with Senator John Kerry on a humanitarian project in Vietnam.

Mr. Peterson started his international service in the Peace Corps, where he founded the extremely successful S.O.S program in Brazil, a privately funded venture which provided aid to the very poorest citizens of that country. Melvin Laird, who later became Secretary of Defense under Richard M. Nixon, was a direct supporter of Mr. Peterson's project.

At the end of his Peace Corps tour of duty, Peterson was approached by the American ambassador in Brazil, who asked him to become a career diplomat and to serve in the embassy in Rio de Janeiro. Mr. Peterson passed the qualifying examinations and was accepted into the U.S. Foreign Service before his Peace Corps term was over. For the next 13 years, he served in various diplomatic capacities in Latin America, Southeast Asia and, finally, Africa.

Extraordinary Times, Extraordinary BeingsMr. Peterson returned to Washington where he was awarded the directorship of the Fulbright Scholarship Program, a position he held for 17years. In the course of his career, Mr. Peterson had Thanksgiving Dinner with Robert F. Kennedy and his wife Ethyl, he had a private meeting with President Richard M. Nixon, and he met Presidents John F. Kennedy and Lyndon Baines Johnson.

In addition to being a retired US Diplomat of distinction, Mr. Peterson is also a very spiritually evolved human being. He has led Transmission Meditation groups for many years and is the author of the book, Extraordinary Times, Extraordinary Beings, in which Mr. Peterson describes his direct encounters with spiritual masters such as Maitreya, a spirit being working to help humanity evolve.

Interestingly, Ahtun Re, the spirit being channeled through Kevin Ryerson, who has solved many reincarnation cases presented in Return of the Revolutionaries, is familiar and respectful of Maitreya. Ahtun Re has explained that all great spiritual beings, such as Jesus, Mohammed, Buddha, Moses, Baba Sri Shiva, Sai Baba and Maitreya, all work together with a common purpose, to help humanity evolve spiritually. To learn more about Mr. Peterson's book, please visit his web site, www.waynepeterson.com. We will now examine two past lives of Mr. Peterson's, which were discovered on his own, with a little help from his spiritual master, Maitreya.

The Reincarnation Case of Francesco Foscari/Wayne Peterson

Wayne Peterson grew up in the 40s, in rural Wisconsin, outside of Green Bay. As a child, he began having subtle memories of past lives, so subtle, that he didn't realize that reincarnation was the basis for these memories. For example, as a small child, when people asked him what his name was, Wayne would refuse to tell them, since he strongly believed that he had a better name which identified “the real me.” Regarding the situation, Wayne explains:

“This was a battle of wills between my parents and me for years. When they would say, ‘His name is Wayne,' I would immediately say that it is not. My mother would often challenge me to provide another name, but I could never remember what my name should be, although I knew that I had another name.

It was not until I was twelve years old that I decided that my real name was Francesco Foscari. This was not a name fetched from thin air. For several years the name Foscari floated around in my head as a word. Eventually I put it together with Francesco because it sounded right. I had a deep emotional attachment to the name. As a young teenager, I was determined that when I became an adult, I would officially change my name to Francesco Foscari.

All teens at some point probably think about changing their names to imitate a movie star or to a more romantic sounding name. With me, however, it was a name I had never heard or seen written anywhere. In fact, Italian names did not exist in our community in Wisconsin; so it was odd that I should find an Italian name so magnetic.”

Note how similar young Wayne's experience was to that of Barbro Karlen, who as a young girl told her parents that her name was not Barbro, but Anne Frank. The difference is that Wayne didn't realize that his attraction to the name Francesco Foscari was related to a past incarnation, for Wayne didn't have visual memories of that lifetime. In contrast, Barbro Karlen did have memories of being Anne Frank.

Mr. Peterson relates that the years went by and as an adult he traveled to Venice, where he experienced distinct feelings of déjà vu, feelings that he had been there before. He later took up painting, choosing to only paint scenes of Venice. When friends asked why all of his artwork involved only Venetian scenes, Mr. Peterson could not provide an explanation.

A breakthrough came in 1990, when Mr. Peterson, almost 50 years after his initial attraction to the Italian name Foscari, experienced vivid memories of a lifetime in Venice. Mr. Peterson relates that he distinctly saw the interior of a house that he had never seen before in his contemporary lifetime. He saw the furniture in exquisite detail. Mr. Peterson realized that he was the man who owned the house and he started experiencing the emotions that the man was feeling. He saw himself wearing a long red brocade robe, which he later learned was the official attire of a Venetian senator.

In this reliving of a past lifetime, Mr. Peterson looked out a window and saw that he was on the second floor of a huge house that ran alongside a small, funnel shaped canal, which emptied into a very large waterway, presumably the Grand Canal of Venice. Mr. Peterson then moved down a hallway and looked out a window that had a view of the rear of the property. He saw that a wall separated his house from a small street, which connected to a distinctive white arched bridge that crossed another small canal. Mr. Peterson also heard a woman speaking to him from the lower level of the house. He realized that she was speaking Italian and that he understood her, though in his contemporary lifetime, Mr. Peterson doesn't speak Italian.

This experience, which Mr. Peterson states was facilitated by Maitreya, allowed him to understand his lifelong attachment to the name Francesco Foscari. After experiencing what appeared to be past lifetime in Venice, Mr. Peterson bought books on houses of Venice, focusing in particular on buildings located on the Grand Canal. After much searching, Mr. Peterson found the house next to a funnel shaped canal, which opened into the Grand Canal, which had a white arched bridge in the back. The house was exactly as Mr. Peterson had seen it in his past life experience. Mr. Peterson was most amazed when he found that the house was built by Francesco Foscari, a politician and leader of the Venetian Republic, who lived from 1373-1457.

In a subsequent visit to Venice, Wayne Peterson tried to find the burial place of Francesco Forcari. Since Forscari was a Doge, a leader of the state, Mr. Peterson reasoned that Foscari would be entombed in the cathedral where other Doges were buried. Foscari's tomb, though, was not there. Later, when he was walking through the streets of Venice, Mr. Peterson had the intuition to enter a smaller place of worship. He walked up to front of the church, up to the alter, which was cordoned off from the main hall of the church. A sign indicated that entry past this point was prohibited. Mr. Peterson, though, was inwardly guided to trespass beyond it. There, behind the alter, Mr. Peterson found the tomb of Doge Francesco Foscari.

The Reincarnation Case of Louise Vanderbilt/Wayne Peterson

Wayne Peterson also experienced memories of a past lifetime in which he was Louise Vanderbilt. In contrast to the childhood remembrances regarding the Foscari lifetime, his memories of the Vanderbilt lifetime were more direct and visual. Let us let Mr. Peterson narrate the turn of events:

“My earliest memories in childhood included detailed images of a time when women wore long billowing gowns and people still used horse drawn carriages. I remembered specifically a large sandstone house, a man named Fred, friends arriving for social gatherings, a large reception area with a high ceiling and floors of white stone. Central to all this I remembered most a woman that was the center of all related activity. The mystery lady was the center of several scenes that were repeated again and again during my earliest years and continued even to this day. I used to wonder who these people were and wondered why they appeared so real to me.

As a young child I believed these people were part of my current life. Why they never visited our home I could never explain. I actually believed they would arrive one day and they would remember me and unexplainably, I would be very happy. I assumed that in my earlier years as an infant I had perhaps experienced these people with my parents and had now forgotten most of those intimate experiences. It was the only way I had as a child to explain the vividness of these people I visited in my dreams.

However, these people never did appear in this current life and I remained at a loss to explain their appearance in my mind. I had no knowledge of reincarnation at that early pre-school stage of my life.”

Mr. Peterson reflects that these memories were especially odd since in the 1940's, there was no television, nor were there motion pictures, to fuel his imagination. He reflects that nothing in his real time experience of a small town in central Wisconsin correlated to his visions. Clothing, houses and social manners were entirely different in Wisconsin than what he experienced in his memories. Yet a man named Fred, women in billowing gowns transported in horse drawn carriages and the large sandstone house, were very real to little Wayne.

Perplexed, Wayne asked his mother about these people and the house that he remembered. He asked if he had been ever taken to such a place as an infant. The answer was always no. Though he could not explain the source of his memories, these memories continued to be a source of comfort, and he maintained a nostalgic emotion for a person named Fred.

As a young adult, as described above, Wayne Peterson joined the Peace Corps and was on route to Brazil. His flight to Rio de Janeiro was via New York City. Since Wayne had never been to the big city before, he arranged to have a few days in NYC, to take in the sights of the Big Apple.

On his second day in NYC, at noon, Wayne was walking down Fifth Avenue. He was impressed by the crush of people. Let us now allow Wayne to narrate the scene, as he stood on the sidewalk of Fifth Avenue:

“Suddenly a woman with hat and white gloves across the wide sidewalk waved her hands in my direction and shouted, ‘Louise, Louise, over here, it's me.' She kept shouting Louise and I froze. I instantly believed she was calling me. For whatever reason, I suddenly believed I was Louise.

All my attention focused on this strange woman moving in my direction through the crowd. In my mind I was someone else, someone named Louise. I believed the woman moving toward me was an old friend, but the face did not look familiar. Nevertheless, there was a great relief within my mind, I thought that finally someone recognized the real me. Not the young man from Wisconsin, but a woman named Louise. It was as if I had been a victim of amnesia and suddenly someone shocked me into reality. Unfortunately, the moment of intense excitement passed when the woman in the hat and gloves brushed past me and grabbed the elderly woman standing directly behind me.

Instantly, my mind was on overload and I could not move or think. I was still having a moment as Louise and I looked at these two women and thought, you fools, why don't you remember me? I am the real Louis, I thought. How long I stood and stared at these two women enjoying their renewed acquaintance I do not know, but eventually my logical mind returned and I was forced to question my actions and thinking. Embarrassed and bewildered, I returned to my hotel room.

In the hotel I relaxed on the bed and for some hours pondered what had just happened. Why, I kept wondering, did I think I was Louise? Why was it so real to me and so important that I be Louise? I pondered this strange experience during my entire stay in New York, but found no answer until years later…Nonetheless, I was content that I was Louise in a past life about the turn of the century and that Fred was my husband.

What I knew of Louise and Fred was not only a few visions of past lives, but I could feel emotions that were from Louise. I intuitively knew she was often frustrated with Frederick at social events. Louise would be in the huge reception area of the house greeting guests. She wore several dresses that I could remember in great detail. I always envisioned Fred in white tie and jacket with tails. He appeared to be perfectly comfortable dressed in that attire but whenever possible he escaped to the small office/library. I can vividly remember the library door, inside it would be quiet and Fred would be seated in the high backed sofa that hid him fro the view form anyone at the doorway exit…Eventually, Louse grew tired of making excuses to the guests about Fred's absence.”

In these past life reminiscences experienced when he was a very young man, Wayne Peterson still did not know who Fred and Louise were specifically. Decades later, in the 1990's, a hint came when Mr. Peterson was visiting an upper class friend in New York City, whose name was Mary. This upper class friend insisted that Wayne join her on a vacation at her Irish house on the South coast of Ireland. Mary said that they would have a wonderful time and added that her friend Gloria would be joining them also. Wayne asked, “Gloria who.” Mary replied, “It's my friend Gloria Vanderbilt.” Let us allow Mr. Peterson describe his reaction to this statement regarding Gloria Vanderbilt:

“Instantly my logical mind was again paralyzed just as it had been years before when in New York City that elderly woman shouted the name Louise. Another personality or another identity took over my consciousness and I said, ‘Great, Gloria and I can chat and gossip about our family relatives.'

There was a silence from my friend Mary and I began to realize what I had said. Mary asked what I meant by common family relatives, and I babbled nervously about something while trying to think up any good excuse for my ridiculous statement. Eventually, I explained that I thought Gloria had an interesting family tree. After terminating that conversation I realized that for a few moments I was transported into another life. It was so total that I really believed I was a relative of Gloria Vanderbilt and we could indeed gossip about family members. Why, I kept wondering again, why did I say such a stupid thing with such conviction?

In the days that followed my conversation with Mary I began to wonder if there ever could have been a Frederick and Louise Vanderbilt. No, I reasoned the odds against it were simply too remote to even bother to explore. Nevertheless, some weeks later while wandering in my favorite bookstore, my attention was attracted to a book on the wealthy families of the 1800's and early 1900's. I noticed the book only because it was on the lowest shelf and protruding into the aisle by some 4 to 5 inches.

Although I pushed the book into its proper alignment several times with my foot, the book continued to spring forward multiple times before I finally picked it up and read its cover. I even explored on hands and knees what was in the shelf which forced the book out into the isle. Naturally, there was nothing but an empty space behind the book.

Curious, I briefly looked at the price of the book and immediately wanted to place it back on the shelf. For whatever reasons, I could not give up the book although my mind wanted to place it back on the shelf. Even after paying for the book I was angry with myself for having no self-control over purchasing a book I did not want. I took the book home and placed it on my own bookshelf thinking that this is one book that I will probably never read, and therefore it was a total waste of money.

However, later that night I had a dream that I must read this new book. Unable to sleep because of this nagging notion, I went downstairs and opened the book. At first nothing captured my imagination but soon I opened a page that totally took me by surprise.

There in full color was a photo of the very room I had always envisioned as a child. The distinctive ceiling, the fireplace and white marble floor and the very same sofas I so clearly remembered. It was all there as if only yesterday I had stepped out of that room.

The next page was even more revealing. Again, in a color photo, was the library/office I knew so well. The pale green sofa that Fred would hide in during social events and the two beautiful desks were part of a his and hers arrangement. Transfixed in wonderment, I thought about the strange attachment I had to this scene and what I might learn from this extraordinary experience.

I began to read the article that went with the photos. The house, it said, was built by Frederick Vanderbilt at Hyde-Park New York in the late 1800's. Wouldn't it be a strange coincidence, I thought, if this Fred Vanderbilt had a wife named Louise?...As I read down the page, I was overwhelmed when I read that Frederick was married to Louise H. Anthony. The following pages were most revealing, especially when I saw the color photos that followed…The photos brought to life the rooms that I remembered from my earliest memories as a child. I realized that I had opened a book that revealed all the secrets of a past life.”

Mr. Peterson also read that though their Hyde-Park house was their favorite, their main home was on Fifth Avenue, in New York. The fact that Louise Vanderbilt lived on Fifth Avenue sheds further light on young Wayne's experience on Fifth Avenue, when the elderly woman in white gloves called out “Louise,” and Wayne was transported to his past incarnation as Louise. Not only did the name “Louise” trigger his past life recall, but being in the same geographical area where he lived before, in NYC on Fifth Avenue, most likely also contributed to stimulating his memories of being Louise Vanderbilt. This phenomenon of a geographic setting triggering past life experiences is also demonstrated in the case of John B. Gordon/Jeff Keene.

To learn more about the homes of Frederick and Louise Vanderbilt and to view the scenes that Wayne Peterson experienced in his past life memories, go to:

Mr. Peterson also learned that Louise and Frederick were very interested in metaphysics, as Mr. Peterson is in contemporary times. Louise was also a great fan of the grand ladies of 18th century France, especially Marie Antoinette. Louise Vanderbilt had even filled her bedroom with French reproduction furniture. Mr. Peterson also learned that Frederick, with encouragement from Louise, used his money to found Vanderbilt University, and great sums were also given to Yale and Columbia. Louise died in 1926, in Paris, which was one of her favorite cities. Frederick lived out his remaining years largely in seclusion, passing away in 1938.

The Cases of Princess Lamballe/Judith Light, Prince Lamballe/Robert Desiderio
and the Duke of Penthievre/Herb Hamsher

As described above, Wayne Peterson has been identified as the reincarnation of Francesco Foscari and Louise Vanderbilt. Louise Vanderbilt had a great affinity for Paris, France, which is where she died.  A reason that Louise had this affinity is that Wayne had a past lifetime as Claude Ledoux, an architect and designer affiliated with the French Court, which is featured in my book, Born Again.  This French connection also places in perspective a past life match that involves the well known actress, Judith Light, who is a friend of Wayne Peterson.  This story also involves the spiritual avatar, Sai Baba, who is known for his abilities of telepathy and manifestation of physical objects.

This reincarnation story, as in the case of Louise Vanderbilt/Wayne Peterson, involves a mystery book that magically manifests into the life of Wayne Peterson. The friendship between Mr. Peterson and Ms. Light originated in 2001, when the actress's manager, Herb Hamsher, attended a lecture that Mr. Peterson gave in Beverly Hills. Mr. Hamsher later introduced Mr. Peterson to Judith Light.

In 2003, Mr. Peterson was wondering about a past life connection between himself and Judith Light. While he was in his bathroom, shaving, Mr. Peterson received an intuitive/telepathic message stating, “You have known Judith in a past life, and  you can find this past lifetime in a book you have.” At the time, Mr. Peterson ignored the message.

A week later, while Mr. Peterson was again shaving, he received another telepathic message, conveying, "The book you need to identify Judith's past lifetime is right behind you." Mr. Peterson thought to himself that this was ridiculous, as he knew that there were no books in his bathroom, as he only kept magazines in this area. Nonetheless, behind him, among his magazines, he found a book, "Mansions of Paris," by Olivier Blanc and Joachim Bonnemaison. Mr. Peterson had no recollection of ever purchasing this book or ever seeing it before. When he leafed through the book he found an image of a woman, Princess Lamballe of 18th century France, who was a physical match for Judith Light.  Mr. Peterson intuitively knew this was Ms. Light in a past lifetime.

Mr. Peterson subsequently called Judith and asked if she has any affinity for France. Judith replied, "Are you kidding, have you seen my home? It is a French house." When Mr. Peterson told her about the possibility that she may be the reincarnation of Princess Lamballe, Judith studied the life of Lamballe and completely resonated with her. For the record, Ahtun Re, the spirit guide channeled through Kevin Ryerson, has confirmed that Judith Light is the reincarnation of Princess Lamballe.

Another member of Judith Light's soul group, her dear friend and manager, Herb Hamsher, has also been identified as having a past lifetime in 18th century France. In 1767, Princess Lamballe was married to Louis Alexandre Stanislaus de Bourbon, also known as the Prince of Lamballe.  Prince Lamballe was the son of the Duc di Penthievre. Within a year, Prince Lamballe died, leaving Princess Lamballe a widow at a young age.  Subsequently, her father-in-law, the Duc di Penthievre, took Lamballe into his home. Penthievre treated Princess Lamballe like his own daughter, later building a house for her. Eventually, Princess Lamballe become a friend and confident of Marie Antoinette.

In contemporary times, Judith Light's soul group has reunited. When Judith Light first met Herb Hamsher, an immediate, close friendship developed and Herb naturally assumed a paternal role towards Judith. Herb not only became Judith's business manager, he became part of her extended family. It was Wayne Peterson who first hypothesized the match between the Duc di Penthievre and Herb Hamsher, due to the similar relationship between Princess Lamballe and the Duc, and Judith and Herb. The match of Duc of Penthievre/Herb Hamsher was subsequently confirmed by Ahtun Re.

When Judith contemplated marrying her husband to be, actor Robert Desiderio, she explained that Herb was now part of her family and if they were wed, Robert would have to accept Herb as part of their family. Robert agreed. Robert's acceptance of Herb makes sense from the point of view of reincarnation, as Ahtun Re has confirmed that Robert is the reincarnation of the Prince of Lamballe, Princess Lamballe's husband. Thus we see that a married couple has reunited across lifetimes.  This also means that Robert was the son of the Duc of Lamballe/Herb Hampshire. We see, thus, that an entire family group have been rejoined.

Sai Baba

Sai BabaWayne Peterson's connection with Sai Baba, a spiritual avatar incarnate in India, is described in a narrative provided below. A miraculous turn of events, involving Sai Baba, evolved from a relationship between Wayne Peterson and Judith Light.

Mr. Peterson has a friend who went to visit Sai Baba in his ashram in India, in the 1990's. This friend was not a devotee of Sai Baba, but accompanied others who were devotees. Paradoxically, when Sai Baba cast his attention on this woman non-devotee, she had a profound spiritual experience and unexpectedly decided to stay at his ashram for six months. When she returned to the United States, this woman gave Mr. Peterson a photo of Sai Baba, blessed by him, which is considered a great gift. Mr. Peterson kept this photo of Sai Baba for almost ten years.

When Mr. Peterson visited Judith Light over the 2003 Thanksgiving holiday, Mr. Peterson received a telepathic message that he should give the photo of Sai Baba, which he received from his friend years ago, to Ms. Light. When he gave it to Judith, she responded, “This is valuable, are you sure you want to give it to me?” Mr. Peterson stated, “I insist.”

Judith Light then replied, “Maybe Sai Baba will be good and give you another one.” Mr. Peterson gave the photo to Ms. Light on November 21, 2003.

Though Wayne Peterson has never met Sai Baba in this lifetime, he has an obvious spiritual connection to this avatar, which is perceived in Mr. Peterson's narrative regarding Sai Baba, which provided in a link below. A miracle, of sorts, occurred in relation to Mr. Peterson giving the photo of Sai Baba to Judith Light.

In January 2004, two months after giving the Sai Baba photo to Judith Light, Mr. Peterson unexpectedly received a letter from Sai Baba's ashram in India. The letter contained a photo of Sai Baba with a note on the back. The note was dated November 21, 2003, the exact date that Wayne Peterson gave the photo of Sai Baba to Judith Light. Recall that on this date Ms. Light suggested that perhaps Sai Baba would send a replacement photo to Wayne. On the back of this new photo from Sai Baba was the inscription: “The secret of the soul is to see through the form.”

The image of Sai Baba that was sent to Mr. Peterson featured a parrot on the shoulder of Sai Baba. What is remarkable is that the eye and eyebrow of Sai Baba can be seen through the form of the parrot.

Interestingly, on the Fourth of July holiday in 1968, Sai Baba gave a declaration, stating his purpose for incarnating at this time. On July 4, 1968, Sai Baba revealed:

“I have come to light the Lamp of Love in your hearts, to see that it shines day by day with added luster. I have not come in behalf of any exclusive religion. I have not come on a mission of publicity for a sect or creed or cause, nor have I come to collect followers for a doctrine. I have no plan to attract disciples of devotees into my fold or any fold. I have come to tell you of this unitary faith, this spiritual principle, this path of love, this duty of love, this obligation of love.”

Maitreya

MaitreyaBenjamin Crème has been lecturing on the great spiritual being named Maitreya for thirty years. Mr. Crème is a pioneer in this regard and I commend his devotion and zeal. I do take issue, though, with the way Mr. Crème has portrayed Maitreya. In his books and lectures, Mr. Crème states that Maitreya is the head of the spiritual hierarchy which is responsible for the planet Earth, a hierarchy that includes beings such as Jesus, Mary, Mohammed and others.

Though I do believe that Maitreya is real and that he is a major force stimulating humanity's awakening and evolution, I see it as detrimental to elevate Maitreya above other spiritual masters, such as Jesus, Mohammed, Mary, Baba Sri Siva and Moses, regardless of Maitreya's place in spiritual hierarchies. Such an attitude will only perpetuate spiritual division. Maitreya, as well as Sai Baba, would be the first to wish that spiritual division be dissolved.

Wayne Peterson has had numerous contacts with Maitreya, as described in his book, Extraordinary Times, Extraordinary Beings. Mr. Peterson had related to me that Maitreya himself has stated, “Do not place me on a pedestal.” I urge the followers of Benjamin Crème to head this advice, so that Maitreya may be able to more effectively perform his work, in cooperation with other spiritual masters who have assisted humanity for ages.

In sessions with Kevin Ryerson, I have asked Ahtun Re about Maitreya. Ahtun Re has stated the he knows Maitreya and regards him highly. In terms of a hierarchy, Ahtun Re also believes that it is wiser to view Maitreya as a great spiritual master, who works cooperatively with other masters, such as Jesus, Mary, Mohammed, Moses, Baba Sri Siva and others, to help mankind advance.

To learn more about Maitreya, please read Mr. Peterson's book and visit his web site, www.waynepeterson.com. You may also read a statement regarding Maitreya written by Mr. Peterson.
